Happy New Year's Eve Eve!

Hi everybody! Mom & I want to wish you all a Happy New Year's Eve Eve and hope that your 2011 is as great as our 2010 was. I had a pretty great year - a whole year with my Mom who takes really good care of me (despite sometimes starving me), and the best part - getting our own house with a big yard for me to chase bunnies!

I also wanted to show you what Grandma got me for Christmas. A stuffed leopard print pillow!

I mean, of course I tore it open in 3 minutes flat, but oh my, those 3 minutes were glorious!!

And look what Grandma got for Mom:

I think Grandma is turning in to a Crazy Pug Lady just like Mom is.

Now it's time to snuggle up on my Mom while she watches re-runs of Property Virgins.

Later, friends! Happy 2011 to you all!!

Happy 3rd Birthday, Jerk!

Mom says I have to write a post about my cousin Jack because today is his 3rd Barkday! I have agreed only because he was fairly nice to me over Christmas and only tried to eat me once.

Alright, so that's it - Happy Birthday Jack! Here's hoping you are turning over a new leaf this year and will find someone else to push around!

Silent George!

When we got to Grandma & Grandpa's, Grandpa was on the deck in the hot tub. Yes, it was 20 degrees outside, but hey, that's Grandpa. And he had news. He told us he had gotten a dog. Jack and I were unsure of this development. 1. Another dog equals less food for us and 2. Another dog equals less attention-slash-petting for us. I had a third concern: another dog equals more dogs trying to eat me.

We came in the house and we were greeted by this:

His name is Silent George. Grandpa named him.

He smells funny.

I am not really okay with this.

He tries to be just like me! I mean look at this!

And look at this:

And here he is just lurking about on the back of the chair while I mind my own business on Uncle Michael's lap:

And now he lives with Mom & me. Yeah, thanks a lot, Grandpa. He has to live on the window seat in the bedroom though because Mom says I will try to tear him open and eat his insides. She's probably right. I do love stuffing! So he just sits there and taunts me. Silently, of course.

Later, friends!

Christmas in the Ozarks!

We're back from Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa's!

PRESENTS!!! ALL FOR ME!!!!! Right?

I'll just guard these so no one bothers them.

Me and my fourth favorite person in the world after Grandma, Grandpa & Trey.

Trey!!! He gave me a Frito which Mom said was appropriate since sometimes I smell like Fritos.

Buddies!

Resting with Uncle Michael.

We had an AWESOME time - mostly because I got fed A LOT! Grandma and Grandpa are so much nicer than my Mom! All I had to do was give them "the look" and I got all the food I wanted!

Grandpa, that ham & cheese sandwich looks delicious. (It worked! I got the last bite!)

Mom, look at all of that food! Pleeeeease? Fine, I'll ask Grandma.

I set up camp under Grandma - and that worked, too.

And then I made sure to rinse the plates for Grandma.

My cousin Jack was there too and they also gave him lots of food.

Jack is not a seasoned beggar like me - he doesn't have the sad pug eyes. I win!

Uncle Michael smothering Jack.

Jack and I were kind of tired and bloated after our food scores from the weekend:

Mom & Uncle Michael said it made for a pretty stinky drive home today - Jack & I had a little bit of gas. Not our fault!!

Jack only tried to kill me once in four days so I think we are making large improvements in our relationship.
Granted, he might have just been so full that he didn't have the energy or the appetite to try to eat me.

Hope you all had a great holiday! Later, friends!

Happy Holidays Everyone!

I just wanted to write one last blog before we go visit my Grandma and Grandpa (thank God! Food!!) and Trey for Christmas! We are heading to Southern Missouri on Thursday so we'll be out of commission for a little while.

Speaking of "out of commission" my Mom has been since last Thursday. She fell really hard on the ice that morning and she even had to go to Urgent Care! I offered to drive her there but she chose to wait for Uncle Michael to come and get her. She's been even lazier than usual since then and popping pills like a junkie. She said her reasons are legit (pulled muscles in her stomach and back, and back spasms!) but I think she may be milking it a little. My hunch is just that she doesn't want to pick me up anymore.

She also said it doesn't help when she's lying on her back and I lay across her stomach, but I suspect that too is a lie, so I do it anyway. And she lets me.

Because of that she hasn't been taking nearly the daily quota of pictures of me (fine by me!) so in honor of the holidays, here's a repeat picture of Mom & me from last year - my first real Christmas! Happy Holidays to you all and we'll see you really soon!

Later friends! (And PS, extra special thanks to our friends Sequoia and Tuni for their very nice holiday card! We love them!)

Happy 1st Gotcha Day to Me!

Today Mom says I've lived with her for one whole year! And what a year it's been. However, today, apparently Mom ordered some white stuff to celebrate my big day and I was NOT HAPPY ABOUT IT. I wish she would have asked me what I wanted because I would have ordered something else entirely.

Man, I am CUTE in the snow.

The Winning Holiday Card Photos!

Gina here. Vito is still on strike and refuses to write this post. So I'll keep it brief and just show you the winning shots! They are already a hit with friends and family. This guy is so popular. If only he knew how happy these hat pictures make people! Instead he just focuses on the pain.

Holiday Card Rejects, Part 2

Oh how nice of my Mom to not only show you the really bad holiday card photo shoot rejects, but to also show you the "close but no cigar" holiday card photo shots. What a sweetheart. She's such a doll to share with the world all of my pain and suffering.

Look at me. I'm mortified.

Mom (who I'm currently not speaking to) says this is her favorite group of "almost made-its":

She says I look like a reindeer here. OMG she has completely lost her mind. Lay off the rum, Mom.

I'm sure she'll also be sure to show you the two that actually made the card as well. Because she apparently gets great satisfaction from my misery.

Later.

Holiday Card Rejects, Part 1

Well, friends, it's that time of year. I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about. That's right...holiday card photo shoot time. And I was subjected to it today. So Mom decided that it would be really nice of us to post pictures of some of our rejected shots. Oh isn't she nice? About as nice as she was to me today by forcing me back in to THAT HAT. Therefore, once again, this post is not approved by me.

Pug Abuse! Someone help me!!

Seriously, call the authorities!

If I shake my head no, maybe she will understand how much I hate this hat.

Seriously. She's plumping my pom poms. My dignity is gone.

Get it off! It's attacking me! I'm sure of it!

If I close my eyes, they can't see me. Maybe that will make them STOP IT!

Look at her! Look how much she is enjoying torturing me!

Salinger, do you still have room at your house?? Surely your Mom and Dad and Holden don't torture you like this. How about I trade you the hat for the turkey neck?

Later friends! I hope anyway.
