Priceless.

I agree. It's totally important to be lazy when it's too cold to go outside. I mean I don't see the humans jumping up to go pee outside?!

And your tree is awesome.

Muah,

Minnie MooMinnie Moohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08060216058253754881noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5723268588540192198.post-27711582761377315462010-11-30T23:36:47.779-06:002010-11-30T23:36:47.779-06:00Your tree is beautiful! I also like ...Your tree is beautiful! We love it!!!
I also like to snuggle and can see you like having your little pug head elevated on a soft surface such as pillow or a human leg to get in that perfect pug snooze. I love doing that and snuggling in a pile of blankets. My mama and papa pug call it PUGTON and it takes up a whole spot on the sofa! Vito, you are so cute. I ...Oh thank you so very much for the information! I just read the "Why to Foster" piece you wrote and it is great and all your tips are so helpful! I must admit my biggest hesitation has been the "attachment factor" - but as you say, it's a necessary evil to get these puggies to their forever homes. Thank you sooo much!

Gina (and Vito too!)Vito and Ginahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02302897528492604675noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5723268588540192198.post-51373390097449844842010-11-30T21:25:53.586-06:002010-11-30T21:25:53.586-06:00Our mom won't eat meat off the bone either! Sh...Our mom won't eat meat off the bone either! She can't eat anything that looks like it was recently alive. Now, she does make a big turkey for the holidays, but she takes all the meat off and puts it on a platter. We had pizza for Thanksgiving, so you weren't alone.

The mom here. If you are interested in fostering, you should read this.
http://www.freewebs.com/mapr/whyyoushouldfoster.htm

And talk to your rescue folks a lot. Talk to other foster parents about the situations that might come up and how the rescue handles them. The rescue I work with pretty much lets us do whatever we feel is best, but when it comes to money, the leadership has to make really hard decisions. Do they spend $3000 on one pug who may not live very long despite the treatment or do they spend that money on several pugs? Especially in this crappy economy. I pay for most of Quincy and Isabelle's medical care, on top of all the food and supplements. Now, I get to deduct that on my taxes so that's a real help. I have a file for each of them and keep every receipt. Last year, between actual cash donations, donations of stuff for events and expenses for Q&I, it was over $1000. Makes for a nice tax return.
Now, my two are long term fosters, having been with me since March 2009. Likely, they will not be adopted, or if one passes, the other might be adopted alone. So you do need to consider that your foster might be with you for a while.
And if you have a choice, ask for a girl dog that is closer in age to Vito. Younger dogs get adopted faster (so less time to get attached), opposite sexes tend to get along better, and the closer they are in age, usually the closer they are in energy levels. Although it might drive you crazy, having an elderly dog with a younger dog drives the elderly dog crazy. Trust me.
Good luck and take your time.Southern Fried Pugshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02690807430103140696noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5723268588540192198.post-885161754212383482010-11-30T19:54:41.610-06:002010-11-30T19:54:41.610-06:00You twree is so bee-u-tea-fullums!
